These shorts are inspired by the local skate scene in California around 1992-94.

Back then, skaters would wear baggy denim jeans (size W38-44) cinched with a belt, and they'd cut off the hems themselves.

We've reproduced that "just right" size and faded balance using well-worn-looking twill denim.

While imagining the era before JNCO became popular, when the word "wide" still held a certain significance, we've designed them to be wider than Levi's 550s, yet still a comfortable width for us to wear without feeling unnatural.
